PENNDEL, Pa. (August 19, 2019) – After a tough outing at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway that forced a charge from the back to finish 19th after suffering from a flat tire, Penndel, Pennsylvania’s Brett Michalski rebounded in a big way on Sunday night at Trail-Way Speedway and earned a top-ten performance.
The top-ten appearance ended a stretch of tough luck and tough results that dated back to a top-ten finish at Lincoln Speedway on July 13.
Although the evening was ultimately cut off on lap 23 due to Mother Nature, the 2018 Lincoln Speedway Rookie of the Year and recent Central Pennsylvania main event winner hung on to finish tenth after staring in the exact same position. Michalski kicked-off the evening with a win during his respective heat race.
“Overall, it was a good weekend for our team,” Brett Michalski said, driver of the Brett Michalski Motorsports/JR Michalski Heating & Air Conditioning/Irish Rover Station House/York by Johnson Controls/Wood Services/Big Heads/Richboro Pub/Maxim Chassis/Don Ott Racing Engines/Kriner Engines/Penske Shocks/VP Racing Fuels/Hoosier Tire/Wings Unlimited/Racer’s Used and New Parts Warehouse/No. 73B sprint car. “It kinda sucks we got that flat on Saturday, but to rebound for a top-ten finish on Sunday at Trail-Way gives us a little extra kick before our big weekend ahead. I’m excited to see how things unfold.”
Up next on the schedule, Brett Michalski and Brett Michalski Motorsports will join Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions for three events in four days, following the winged sprint car series to Grandview Speedway on August 22, Lincoln Speedway on August 24, and BAPS Motor Speedway on August 25. All three programs will award a $5,000 top prize.
