VINCENTOWN, N.J. (June 22, 2020) – Ending the evening with their first podium result of the 2020 season, Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports put together an impressive performance on Saturday night at the Port Royal Speedway ‘Speed Palace’ and finished third during Open Wheel Madness feature competition, starting the $5,000-to-win program from the pole position.
The Vincentown, New Jersey-native kicked-off his evening at the Juniata County Fairgrounds with a third-place finish during heat race action. There were just over 30 cars in attendance.
“We needed that one,” Justin Whittall said, driver of the JW Motorsports/Brotherton Brewing Company/Beechwood Landscape Architecture and Construction LLC/Pioneer Auto Body/Mid-Atlantic Transport/Worldwide Bearings/FK Rod Ends/Stilo Helmets/JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry/Keizer Aluminum Wheels/Enterprise/Ground Blind Boys/No. 67 sprint car. “This is the breakout result that we needed, especially with PA Sprint Speedweek getting started this weekend. Momentum is important in this sport and this is exactly the momentum shift that we needed.
“I can’t thank all of our partners enough for standing behind this team,” Whittall continued. “They continue to believe in us even if things aren’t going well for the team. Hopefully this podium finish is one of many during Speedweek. We’re hungry for that first 410 win.”
Justin Whittall’s 2020 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek campaign will ignite, officially, on Friday evening, June 26, at the world-famous Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The team will participate in seven of the nine scheduled Speedweek programs, all of which awarding no less than $5,000-to-win.
