BUTLER, Pa. (November 21, 2023) – It was an up and down weekend in the Tar Heel State for Cullen Hutchison and Bell Kemenah Racing, and despite a few disappointing hiccups that included a “DNF” result in Mountain Creek Speedway’s Chad Bush Clash Championship on Sunday, November 19, the young man out of Butler, Pennsylvania, still managed to enjoy his trip and find success, ultimately highlighting his three-race North Carolina visit with a six-position rally.
Hutchison, operator of the Bell Kemenah Racing, Classic Ink USA Screenprinting & Embroidery, E2 Apparel, Open Joist, No. 21 600cc micro, accomplished his eventual top-ten at Rockfish Speedway in Raeford, North Carolina, on Saturday, November 18, powering ahead from 15th to finish ninth in the final Non-Wing rundown. The Non-Wing segment of Rockfish’s Winter Classic, awarding $1,000-to-win and attracting nearly 50 competitors, was originally intended to be completed on Friday, November 17, but Mother Nature stepped in and had other plans.
Unfortunately, Hutchison’s performance in the Winged portion of Rockfish’s Winter Classic, which was conducted following the rescheduled Non-Wing segment, was forced to conclude during heat race competition; too much damage following a spin being the eventual “DNF” culprit.
“We’ll shake this off and move on. That’s all we can do,” Hutchison explained. “I want to thank my family, my team, and all of my supporters for getting me this far. It’s been a great year, but there’s still work to do.”
ON DECK:
Cullen Hutchison and Bell Kemenah Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with Millbridge Speedway’s first Winter Series event on Saturday, December 9.
