MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (April 22, 2024) – With Mother Nature winning the track’s originally scheduled season opener set for Saturday, April 20, Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, will now open its 2024 agenda with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, welcoming the Greatest Show On Dirt for a highly-anticipated doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, April 26-27.
Chase Randall and TKS Motorsports, who will chase a track championship at the Sprint Car Capital of the World in 2024, are ready to join in on the World of Outlaws invasion. The two-day program will award $12,000-to-win each; the first of two World of Outlaws doubleheaders at the speedway prior to the coveted Knoxville Nationals.
“We’re ready,” Troy Renfro, owner of the TKS Motorsports, Albaugh – Your Alternative, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, TJ Forged, No. 2KS sprint car, said. “The weather didn’t cooperate for the opener, but we got some good practice laps on Friday, so I’m confident we’ll be more than ready for the Outlaws. Chase [Randall] has what it takes to put our team up front all weekend, and that’s the goal.”
Randall and TKS Motorsports will roll into the weekend fresh off of a High Limit Racing start at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma, on Saturday, April 20. The “Quickest Chicken” finished 19th in his Sooner State appearance, earning his way into the $12,000-to-win program via fourth-place finish in the evening’s B-Main.
