KNOXVILLE, Iowa (May 20, 2024) – It was an up and down weekend for Cory Eliason and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR), and despite a rocky road through New York that resulted in the Visalia, California, native missing the top-ten in High Limit Racing starts Outlaw Speedway and Utica-Rome Speedway on May 16-17, their momentum shifted gears in a hurry, racing on to a runner-up performance at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 19.
Eliason, ace of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Commercial Edge, NDT New Direction Transport LLC, Ridge Development, North Ridge Development, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, B And L Holdings, No. 8 sprint car, started fourth in Sunday’s showstopper, kicking things off with his group’s fastest qualifying time, followed by a fifth-place outcome during heat race competition.
Certainly no stranger to the York Haven oval, the former All Star turned High Roller is a former winner at BAPS Motor Speedway, accomplishing said feat on Sunday, March 24.
Other weekend highlights include finishing tenth at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, May 18, as well as fourth in Kokomo Speedway’s High Limit Racing “Midweek Money Series” event on Monday, May 13. Eliason started sixth on the $22,000-to-win grid, earning his way into the evening’s main event via runner-up performance during heat race action.
Eliason’s top-ten count now stands at 13 on the season, four of which top-fives including the aforementioned victory.
“A rocky weekend, but we turned some good results in the process so it’s tough to be discouraged about that,” Eliason expressed. “We have a big weekend ahead at Port Royal Speedway. We want to be in the hunt for that $75,000 Saturday night.”

Ridge & Sons Racing and Cory Eliason [No. 8] will continue their 2024 High Limit Racing campaign with Port Royal Speedway’s Bob Weikert Memorial on Saturday and Sunday, May 25-26. The weekend finale will award a $75,000 payday.
