SANDUSKY, Ohio (May 29, 2024) – It was an action-packed Memorial Day Weekend in the Buckeye State for Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing, not only participating in events at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway (double feature format) on Friday and Saturday, May 24-25, but ultimately returning to Fremont two evening’s later for a World of Outlaws appearance on Monday, May 27. Andrews, a former two-time Attica Raceway Park track champion, qualified for all four of the weekend’s main events, concluding his stretch with a 22nd-place score against the Outlaws in the Rick Ferkel Tribute.
Andrews, ace of his own Ohio Truck Sales, OTS Truck Centers, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Kenworth of Cleveland, No. 15C sprint car, opened his weekend in the Buckeye State with a 17th-place score at Attica on Friday, followed by 18th and 20th-place scores in Fremont’s double feature program the following evening.
“We’re doing everything we can to get this program figured out. We’re timing better and better, we just need to put the entire evening together,” Andrews stated. “A little bit more of a routine agenda ahead for us, so we hope to pick up right where we left off and earn some more desirable finishes. Things will click in our favor eventually.”
Andrews’ Outlaw effort also included the fourth-fastest qualifying time in his respective group, followed by a fifth-place score in his respective heat race. The heat race result automatically transferred the Sandusky native into the evening’s 35-lap main event.
ON DECK:
Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with an Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) doubleheader at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1.
