SANDUSKY, Ohio (June 3, 2024) – The 2024 season has been a rocky one for Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing, but despite the ups and downs, the team out of Sandusky, Ohio, is finally beginning to find some rhythm, collecting their first top-ten result of the season in a Friday night Ohio Sprint Speedweek tune-up at Attica Raceway Park.
Andrews, driver of his own Ohio Truck Sales, OTS Truck Centers, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Kenworth of Cleveland, No. 15C sprint car, finished eighth in his top-ten appearance, kicking-off the evening program with a four-spot jump from seventh to third during heat race competition. As hinted, the Friday night outcome was important on two fronts, not only padding Andrews’ 2024 stat sheet, but giving the northwest Ohio native a key surge of momentum – just in time for FAST on Dirt’s Ohio Sprint Speedweek schedule that is set to launch Friday, June 7, at Attica Raceway Park.
Although unable to repeat top-ten success, Chris Andrews concluded his recent weekend of competition with a 15th-place score at “The Track That Action Built” on Saturday, June 1, launching his preliminary effort with the fastest overall qualifying time.
“A lot of high points this weekend, and we’ll take it. A great way to roll into Ohio Sprint Speedweek,” Andrews noted. “As of now, we’re going to enter four of the nine nights, but that could change pending how things kick-off at Attica on Friday. If things start off on the right foot, we may hit a few more. It’s hard to believe we’re already talking about Speedweek.”
