BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (June 17, 2024) – It was a long week in the Buckeye State for Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing, but with the 2024 edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek officially in the books, the Benton Ridge, Ohio, native can breathe a little easier, reflecting on a successful second half that included a pair of top-five finishes including one in the nine-race finale.
Wilson, ace of his own Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, DNC Hydraulics, No. W20 sprint car, finished fourth in each of his top-five appearances, the first in a visit to Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 11, and the second at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Saturday, June 15. Other second half highlights include finishing 14th at Sharon Speedway on Wednesday, June 12, and 15th at Muskingum County Speedway on Thursday, June 13.
Greg Wilson Racing opened the nine-race slate with a podium finish at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday, June 7. The former Ohio Sprint Speedweek champion finished second in his podium appearance, commencing main event competition from the outside of row two.
“In all, a great week for all involved at Greg Wilson Racing. I’m proud of what we accomplished and I’m even more proud to have my family with me every step of the way,” Wilson noted. “I think it’s only up from here and I’m excited to see what the rest of our season has to bring.”
