BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (July 1, 2024) – Initially, Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing had planned on joining the Greatest Show On Dirt at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday, June 28-29, but with transporter issues still a threatening factor, the team elected to stay closer to home, and their decision certainly paid off, concluding their Friday visit to Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, with another top-five.
Wilson, ace of his own Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, DNC Hydraulics, No. W20 sprint car, finished fifth in his top-five appearance, improving three positions after starting from the outside of row four. The former All Star champion, as well as former Ohio Sprint Speedweek champion, now owns seven top-five appearances on the season, simultaneously increasing his top-ten count to nine.
Wilson’s preliminary effort commenced with a runner-up performance during heat race competition.
“I think once we get these bugs worked out of our truck and trailer, we should be distraction free,” Wilson admitted. “Regardless, things worked out well on Friday. The plan is to hit the road a little bit these next few weeks beginning with a trip down to Moler on Friday. The plan is to head to Wisconsin immediately after and join the Outlaws at Beaver Dam and Wilmot.”
ON DECK:
Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with an OVSCA start at Moler Raceway Park in Bethel, Ohio, on Friday, July 5, followed by World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series starts at Beaver Dam Raceway (July 10) and Wilmot Raceway (July 12-13).
