KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 15, 2024) – Momentum is the key, and for Cory Eliason and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR), momentum is finally on their side, concluding their recent High Limit Racing start with a top-five finish at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, on Saturday, July 13.
Eliason, a full-time High Limit Racing “High Roller” aboard Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Commercial Edge, NDT New Direction Transport LLC, Ridge Development, North Ridge Development, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, B And L Holdings, No. 8 sprint car, finished fifth in his top-five appearance, advancing three positions after commencing the $25,554-to-win Dean Knittel Memorial from eighth on the grid.
The Visalia, California, native kicked off preliminary competition with the eighth-fastest qualifying time, capping that with a runner-up finish during heat race action.
“Overall, a solid night for our Ridge & Sons Racing team. It’s good to have a nice momentum kick leading into one of the biggest weeks of the year,” Eliason expressed. “We’ll head into Eldora with our heads up and our confidence high. There’s a lot of money on the line all four days, so we’ll do our best to capitalize on that.”
