ODESSA, Mo. (July 22, 2024) – Natalie Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing put together an impressive campaign in their recent weekend of competition, not only accumulating three consecutive top-ten appearances, but doing so in just two days of action, and across two different divisions.
Natalie Doney, ace of the Doney-Lawson Racing, Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Design Source Flooring, No. 74 sprinter, finished sixth, third, and seventh in her weekend slate, opening competition with a sixth-place run in I-35 (Mo.) Speedway’s Racesaver class on Saturday, July 20. The young lady out of Odessa, Missouri, raced on to finish third in the 305 sprint car division at Double X Speedway in California, Missouri, on Sunday, July 21, all of which capped with a seventh-place outcome in Double X Speedway’s 360 sprint car main event on the same night. Impressive enough, Natalie’s 305 and 360 features were back-to-back, forcing her to skip car adjustments with fuel added, only.
Natalie’s older brother and teammate, Xavier Doney, spent his Saturday night at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, joining the Midwest’s finest for a Knoxville Nationals tune-up attempt. Although scored 21st in the evening rundown, Doney’s performance was respectable, passing multiple cars before the conclusion of the program. The recent POWRi WAR winner will look to add to his July momentum with a POWRi 410 doubleheader in Kansas and Missouri.
