KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 29, 2024) – A perfect momentum kick rolling into the 34th edition of Knoxville Raceway’s 360 Nationals, “A-Aron” Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing turned four starts into a trio of top-ten appearances, highlighting their final July weekend with a 360 sprint car score at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, on Thursday, July 25. The triumph, Reutzel’s tenth of the 2024 season overall, was accomplished in fantastic fashion, earning a margin of victory that nearly surpassed the four-second mark.
“The track was phenomenal,” Reutzel, ace of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, No. 87 sprint car, was quick to say in Jackson Victory Lane. “Hats off to the track crew there. It was a good crowd tonight. It’s an awesome night.”
Although Reutzel’s 410 Border Battle start the following night at Jackson Motorplex concluded with a “DNF,” forced to retire due to incidental contact while battling for a podium spot, the Clute, Texas, native raced on to conclude his weekend of competition with a pair of top-tens at the Sprint Car Capital of the World; eighth during the 410 portion of the program and second during the 360 portion of the program. Reutzel’s 360 podium was the product of a four-spot jump from the outside of row three.
With all results considered, Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing will roll into the 360 Knoxville Nationals with a combined 28 top-ten appearances, 24 of which within the top-five including the aforementioned ten victories. Reutzel’s 360 Nationals qualifying night is set for Thursday, August 1.
