BUTLER, Pa. (August 20, 2024) – Despite Mother Nature ruining any plans for a third-straight top-ten finish at Tri-City Raceway Park on Sunday, August 18, Butler, Pennsylvania’s own Cullen Hutchison and car owner Joe Lockhart are already looking ahead, set to continue their 2024 RUSH Sprints campaign with a Saturday visit to the legendary Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, on August 24.
Dubbed the Sprint Car Spectacular, Lernerville’s Saturday program (with events usually contested on Friday) will feature not only the RUSH non-wing sprint cars, but in addition, the regularly hosted 410 sprint cars, as well as the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 sprints.
Although Saturday’s visit to Lernerville will be a first for Hutchison as a competitor, the Western Pennsylvania staple is certainly familiar to the recent Midwest Winter Nationals champion, visiting on several occasions as a young fan before earning the opportunity to navigate its four turns.
“This should be a lot of fun. I couldn’t be more excited,” Hutchison said. “I really want to thank Joe Lockhart, Lockhart Raceway, and the entire Lockhart Family for this opportunity. We’ve been having a lot of fun so far…a lot of learning, but a lot of fun. Hopefully we stay dry on Saturday and get this weekend in!”
