MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (August 26, 2024) – “Hunter Percent” Hunter Schuerenberg and TKS Motorsports made the most of their 2024 debut, becoming acclimated quickly and doing so at the Sprint Car Capital of the World. Schuerenberg, a Sikeston, Missouri, native who joined the Mitchellville, Iowa-based open wheel program just before Knoxville Raceway’s Season Championship program on August 24, finished 15th in his initial start in Troy Renfro’s No. 2KS, climbing three spots in total after finishing seventh during heat race competition.

With little time to waste, Schuerenberg and TKS Motorsports will continue their 2024 campaign in a big way, planning to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in a major Labor Day Weekend agenda at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota.

“We’re pleased with Hunter’s performance. It was his first night in the car, but he showed us a lot of ability and a lot of potential, and that’s all we can ask for,” Troy Renfro, owner of the  Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, TJ Forged, No. 2KS, said. “The plan is to head to South Dakota this weekend and chase some big money at Huset’s Speedway.”
