HANOVER, Pa. (August 26, 2024) – Holiday stretches in Pennsylvania Posse Country usually translate into big money potential for open wheel competitors, and it’s certainly no different for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, as Pennsylvania’s finest 410 sprint car aces will likely battle in the Pigeon Hills during their holiday schedules – “The Boss” JJ Loss being one of them.
Loss, ace of his family owned Next Level Signs & Graphics, Your Hometown Agents – Colby Jacobs & Neil Reichart Team, Diversified Cuts, Wolf’s Plumbing LLC, Capitol Renegade, No. 67 sprint car, will battle in the Pigeon Hills during each of Lincoln Speedway’s weekend blockbusters, chasing $15,000 in Saturday’s Kevin Gobrecht Memorial, as well as $15,000 in Sunday’s Laboy Day Duel.
Certainly no stranger to the Abbottstown oval, Loss has been a regular fixture all of 2024, and although tough luck has plagued much of his stat card, the young man out of Hanover is eager to turn the perception in a hurry.
“It’s been an up and down year for us, but we don’t let that get to us. We’re privileged to be out here doing this with our own team so we work to enjoy every minute of it,” Loss said. “We figured out a lot this past weekend, and even though we were short of making the A, I felt comfortable and we resolved a lot of issues. Before the weekend we ended up switching back to the Maxim that we raced last year, which took a little time to figure out, but we made leaps of progress. The consolation was non-stop, so it was going to be tough to make up any ground regardless.
“We’re excited for Labor Day Weekend,” Loss added. “The plan is to be at both of the Lincoln races. As long as nothing crazy or out of the ordinary happens, we’ll be at both.”
ON DECK:
JJ Loss and JKL Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with return visits to Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday and Sunday, August 31 and September 1. The Labor Day Weekend pair will award $15,000-to-win each.
