KNOXVILLE, Iowa (August 26, 2024) – Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) concluded their 2024 Knoxville Raceway campaign in the best manner possible, and that is in victory lane, scoring their sixth 360 triumph of the season in the facility’s final sprint car program of the year. Additionally, the victory increased the Clute, Texas, native’s overall win count to 11 since his schedule commenced, eight of which at the Sprint Car Capital of the World (two in 410 competition).
Reutzel, ace of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, American Table, No. 87 sprinter, earned a $3,000 payday for his efforts, taking command at the midpoint of the 20-lapper over Cam Martin and Joe Beaver; he started seventh.
The Knoxville Raceway 360 sprint car victory was the 15th of Reutzel’s career. Unfortunately, “A-Aron” was unable to find success in the 410 sprint car portion of the program, a broken axle being the culprit.
“We definitely have a bullet under the hood, and I have Don Long to thank for that,” said Reutzel in Victory Lane. “Our package in the 360 is so wide. I can experiment a little bit, and then we’re still usually right there at the end of the night. It was another great year. It was a lot of fun. I love racing here every week. There’s nothing like it.”
