FOREST, Ohio (September 23, 2024) – Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports are certainly no strangers to the high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, once again proving their comfort level with a top-ten in the annual 4-Crown Nationals on Saturday, September 21. Westfall, who earned a top-five during #LetsRaceTwo weekend early on in the year, finished ninth in his 4-Crown appearance, rallying four spots from 13th on the grid.
Westfall, ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M “Bumblebee Express,” kicked-off USAC National Sprint Cars preliminary competition with the tenth-fastest time in qualifying time trials, followed soon thereafter with a third-place finish during heat race action. The eventual A-Main top-ten increased Westfall’s season total to nine, three of which accumulated within the top-five.
“I’m sure I’ve said it hundreds of times, but it never gets old racing at Eldora Speedway. We’re already looking forward to the next visit,” Westfall explained. “Can’t thank Ray Marshall enough for his support. Our USAC schedule is coming to a close pretty quickly, but we’re going to do everything we can to get Ray back up front when we rejoin USAC at Lawrenceburg.”
