BROWNSBURG, Ind. (November 11, 2024) – An impressive stretch, to say the least, Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing not only concluded their 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season with three main event starts in the annual, season-ending World Finals, but the team out of Brownsburg, Indiana, hard charged their way forward in each of the three main events contested, all of which highlighted with a rally from 18th to ninth in the World Finals finale on Saturday, November 9.
When the dust finally settled, Schatz, ace of the Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Ford Performance, Curb Records, Sage Fruit, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, Mobil 1, Hoosier, VP Racing Fuels & Tub ‘O Towels, No. 15 sprint car, found himself with three Hard Charger Awards, climbing a total of 28 feature positions activating with a push from 25th to 14th on Thursday, followed by a rally from 23rd to 15th on Friday.
Schatz concluded his 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign third in the final championship standings. The Fargo, North Dakota, native participated in 65 main events, earning 53 top-ten finishes with 30 of them resulting within the top-five. The ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion earned five World of Outlaws victories on the year, his most recent at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, October 12 – the Keystone Showdown victory earned Schatz a $20,000 payday.
