JONESTOWN, Pa. (November 18, 2024) – It was the perfect momentum kick for Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss, and just in time for his upcoming visit to the other side of the world.
Zearfoss, who recently concluded his 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a ninth-place finish in the season-ending standings, capped his year officially with a victory in his own backyard, winning BAPS Motor Speedway’s Sprint Showdown worth $10,000 on Saturday, November 16. The “Jonestown Jet” led every circuit of the 30-lap program, mastering spurts of lapped traffic perfectly to keep Chase Dietz, Logan Schuchart, and Danny Dietrich at bay. A heat race victory propelled Zearfoss to the evening’s main event.
As noted, the victory’s timing was impeccable, as Zearfoss is set to fly to Australia for a full stint with car owner Sean Carren beginning with Western Australia Speedweek action on December 26.
“To win in front of our family, fans, and partners is such an amazing feeling. I can’t think of a better way to cap our season here in the United States,” Zearfoss said. “Hats off to this entire team. It’s a long year up and down the road, but to come home and accomplish this makes it all the better. The goal is to put this momentum to good use when I get back to Australia with Sean Carren in the next few weeks.”
As mentioned, Zearfoss will pilot Sean Carren’s Gold Star Transport, Mineral Resources, Valvoline, PTR Financial, Blue Water Shipping, Daniel Trucking, Daimler Trucks, AAA Metal Recycling hotrod during his month-long stretch Down Under, highlighting his agenda with Western Australia Speedweek stops, as well as High Limit International and the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.
“It should be an incredible trip,” Zearfoss, a former Western Australia Speedweek champion, added. “Another incredible opportunity and I’m ready to get started.”
