BROWNSBURG, Ind. (March 10, 2025) – Two days in the “Dirty South” resulted in back-to-back top-tens for Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR), concluding their trek across Alabama and Mississippi with sixth and tenth-place finishes, respectively, the former occurring at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama, on Friday, March 7. Schatz, now six-for-ten in the top-ten column this season, started eighth in his eventual sixth-place performance, earning a spot in the evening’s main event by way of third-place finish in his respective heat race.
The Fargo, North Dakota, native raced on to conclude his weekend with the aforementioned tenth-place outcome, doing so at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi, on Saturday, March 8. The ten-time World of Outlaws champion and ace of the Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Ford Performance, Curb Records, Martin One Source, No. 15 sprint car earned his way into the Black Ice Brawl 35-lapper by way of fourth-place finish during heat race action.
Although competition in Alabama and Mississippi is complete, Schatz and TSR will continue their blitz through the south with a pair of doubleheaders in the Lone Star State, the first taking shape at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, followed by a double at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas.
