2011 hasn’t been the best for Gregg Satterlee when competing against the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The Rochester Mills native and Fully Injected super late model pilot was only able to crack the top 15 once in Outlaw competition in 2011; with that being at the Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania. The recent UFO winner at PPMS will look at this weekend as a ‘clean slate,’ and hopefully end the season with a positive finish and positive momentum.

This weekend, in Charlotte, North Carolina, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will gather at the ‘World Finals’ for one last weekend of competition in 2011 – bringing some of the best late model drivers in the county to The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Non-WoO drivers such as 2011 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion, Jimmy Owens, and Lucas Oil phenom, Scott Bloomquist, are also expected to attend; adding more pressure and prestige to the season ending spectacle. A high car count is expected for the three day showdown; which is highlighted with back-to-back $10,000 to win programs on Friday and Saturday.

“Hopefully we can make the show…it’s going to be tough with 60-70 cars there…a top 10 would be pretty awesome, though,” explained Satterlee when discussing his weekend goals at the World Finals. “Hopefully we can do better than what we did all summer (with the World of Outlaws)…”

Gregg’s quest for a ‘World Finals’ A-main starting spot begins Thursday night with qualifying time trials.
