Up and down weekend leaves Whittall with top-ten at The Grove; Williams Grove and Port Royal next

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (April 21, 2025) – It was a roller coaster weekend in Posse Country for Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports, kicking things off with a top-ten in Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Tommy Hinnershitz Classic on Friday, April 18, eventually concluding the weekend with incidental contact that negated a victory at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace.”

The contact, happening while Whittall was leading with seven circuits remaining, occurred at the entrance of turn one, sending Whittall, as well as Logan Wagner – who was challenging for the lead – in a spin toward the turn one wall. Both drivers were unharmed.

As noted, Whittall, ace of his own RBH Group, Turret Engineering, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, Prime Composite Innovations, Milky Way Restaurant, No. 67 sprint car, earned a top-ten in Williams Grove Speedway’s Tommy Hinnershitz Classic on Friday, concluding the $8,088-to-win main event ninth in the running order. In fact, the Hinnershitz main event was just one of two on the evening, as a Make-Up Feature from earlier in the year was conducted immediately after; Whittall raced on to finish 14th.

“We felt so good at Port Royal. We’ve been working hard to get that first win of the season and it hurts to be that close and not earn it. Racing happens. It was upsetting, but there’s always next weekend,” Whittall explained. “Hats off to this entire JW Motorsports team. They’ve been busting their tails. That first win is coming soon.”
