Andrews scores top-ten at Fremont; Lernerville and Wayne County potentials in coming agenda

SANDUSKY, Ohio (April 28, 2025) – It was intended to be a two-race weekend for northwest Ohio hopefuls, and although Attica Raceway Park’s Friday night program was eventually canceled due to Mother Nature, the action went on as scheduled Saturday evening at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, and Sandusky, Ohio’s Chris Andrews was in on the action.
Although falling short of attaining his second victory of the season, Andrews, ace of his own Ohio Truck Sales, Real American Beer, Fleet Financial, Cintas, Kenworth of Cleveland, Toledo Spring, NAPA Fremont Auto Parts, Burdue Insurance, TruckParts4U.com, No. 15C sprint car, accomplished the next best thing and concluded the All Star Circuit of Champions program with a top-ten performance, finishing seventh after starting fourth on the A-Main grid. The former Attica Raceway Park champion and recent winner at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing” was as high as third in the running order before fading to seventh, kicking off the track’s season opener with the sixth-fastest qualifying time and a runner-up finish in his respective heat race.
“I think we’re all ready for a full weekend of racing,” Andrews was quick to note. “Regardless, another great effort by our Ohio Truck Sales | Real American Beer team. I think we were a little better than seventh, but we ended up fading some at the end.
“Not sure of our plan for the coming weekend,” Andrews continued. “We tossed around the idea of maybe visiting Lernerville or even Wayne County, but time will tell. We’ll weigh some options and go from there.”
ON DECK:
Still undecided, Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing will continue their 2025 season with a Friday night visit to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, followed by a stop at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. Those plans could alter as the week progresses.
