Brian Brown quick at Knoxville, Return visit likely
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (April 29, 2025) – “Blackjack” Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing padded the stat book in their Saturday night return to the Sprint Car Capital of the World, not only ending their attempt with a top-five outcome, but solidifying consistency along the way. Brown, a multi-time track champion at the home of the coveted Knoxville Nationals, finished fifth in the raceway’s championship points opener, advancing one position in 20-laps while battling some of the best in the business.
Brown, ace of his own Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Mt. Dew Overdrive, Ditzfeld Transfer, Ditzfeld Container Service, No. 21 sprint car, finished fifth from sixth in his respective heat race, as well, commencing the evening with the quickest qualifying time in his respective group.
“Overall, a good effort by our entire Casey’s | FVP team. Made some advancements all night long so that’s most important,” Brown stated. “We had a really good start in the A…two really good starts, actually, and was able to move up to fourth pretty quick. Just not where I needed to be exactly with our car, not like I’ve had it in the past. There are some cars faster than us right now, but the good news is it’s only April and we have plenty of time to make progress.
“We’re going to keep an eye on the weather and make a determination, but our likely choice will be Knoxville this weekend,” Brown added. “Excited to get back there and work to get better.”
