Whittall with big results in Williams Grove’s Morgan Cup; Routine agenda highlights coming weekend
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
VINCENTOWN, N.J. (May 12, 2025) – It was a night for the stat book for Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports, as the Vincentown, New Jersey, native helped the Pennsylvania Posse clinch three spots within the top-five in Saturday’s $20,000-to-win Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Speedway. Whittall, who finished fifth in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series headliner, commenced action from the inside of row four, launching his evening against the Greatest Show On Dirt with the second-fastest time within his respective group of qualifiers, all of which followed by a heat race victory.
The coveted Morgan Cup, which will stay in Central Pennsylvania due to Anthony Macri’s dominating victory, was intended to be two days, but Mother Nature stopped action from commencing on Friday, May 9.
Whittall’s eventual top-five, his first with the World of Outlaws this season, was his third overall, scoring a fifth-place finish from 11th at Port Royal Speedway on March 22, followed by a third-place, again at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace,” on March 29.
“Just a great night overall…a result we can certainly be proud of,” Whittall, driver of the RBH Group, Turret Engineering, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, Prime Composite Innovations, Milky Way Restaurant, No. 67 sprint car, said. “We definitely needed that. We’ve got some big events coming up and a top-five against the Outlaws will give us the momentum kick that we need. We’re still weighing some things out, but the plan is Williams Grove and Port Royal this weekend. We’ll know more as the days wind down.”
