Eliason and TKS Motorsports with top-ten at Knoxville; Upcoming plans TBD
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (May 19, 2025) – In a week that commenced in the Hoosier State before eventually ending in South Dakota, Mitchellville, Iowa’s TKS Motorsports and Visalia, California’s Cory Eliason proved they were up for the challenge, concluding their three-race campaign with not only a top-ten, but an even stronger August notebook, highlighting all outcomes with a hard-fought sixth-place finish at the Sprint Car Capital of the World on Saturday, May 17.
Eliason, ace of Troy and Tammy Renfro’s Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Webb Family Farms, Landus, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, AL Driveline, Justice Brothers, Serenity Custom Woodworking, No. 2KS sprint car, started ninth on Knoxville’s grid, utilizing a heat race victory and the ninth-fastest time in Group One to set the evening’s tone. As mentioned, all Knoxville Raceway starts will prove vital, as TKS Motorsports continues preparations for August’s coveted Knoxville Nationals featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
Other recent results for Eliason and TKS Motorsports include a 15th-place finish against High Limit Racing at Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana, on Monday, May 12, also finishing 12th at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, on Sunday, May 18. With all results considered, the team now owns three top-tens on the season, the best being a fourth-place outcome at Knoxville.
“We put on a lot of miles this week, but we enjoyed every minute of it,” Troy Renfro explained. “We’re still unsure of our final plan for the coming weekend. We’re going to weigh out our options and decide what makes the most sense for our team.”
