Madsen and TKS building momentum at Knoxville; Mid-Season Championship set for July 5

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (June 30, 2025) – Troy and Tammy Renfro’s TKS Motorsports certainly know their way around Knoxville’s historic half-mile, and with the coveted Knoxville Nationals less than two months away, it’s never too late to add to the notebook, doing so in a return visit on Saturday, June 28.

Ian Madsen, driver of Troy and Tammy’s Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Webb Family Farms, Landus, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, No. 2KS sprint car, finished 11th in his recent visit, climbing eight spots from 19th on the grid after winning his respective heat race. For Madsen, taking the ropes at TKS Motorsports just shy of the midpoint of the season, the near-top-ten was beneficial and confidence boosting, eager to test their notes yet again in the facility’s Mid-Season Championship set for Saturday, July 5.

“A solid night overall for TKS Motorsports,” Troy Renfro explained. “We had ourselves in a little bit of a hole on Saturday, but Ian [Madsen] was patient and persevered. We’re excited to get back to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday and do it all over again. Qualifying is so important at the Nationals, as well as being able to push forward in your heat. We hope to use all of these laps to our advantage in August.”
