SCHEDULE SWAP: Doney-Lawson Racing and team mentor Sammy Swindell redirect attention to Knoxville Raceway

ODESSA, Mo. (July 15, 2025) – With the threat of Mother Nature looming, Doney-Lawson Racing (DLR), Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars, and team mentor Sammy Swindell have decided to cancel their weekend plans to join High Limit Racing and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, and instead visit the Sprint Car Capital of the World – Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.
Xavier Doney, the oldest of the two Doney siblings who wheel for DLR, will participate in Knoxville’s 3M Night program on Saturday, July 19, not only chasing valuable lap time at the historic venue, but a headline-worthy outcome, working to pad an ever-growing stat sheet that already includes five top-tens in 2025, three of which occurring within the top-five. Speaking of which, the young man out of Odessa, Missouri, will roll into Knoxville with a trio of POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League top-tens to his recent credit, scoring a podium in the process at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana, on Friday, June 20.
Joining Doney-Lawson Racing in their Iowa venture will be three-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion and National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Sammy Swindell, set to take on team coach and mentor role during DLR’s stay at the Sprint Car Capital of the World. In fact, Swindell’s tenure at DLR will extend beyond Knoxville Raceway, helping to mold the young aces for multiple races through the height of the summer.

Xavier Doney, Natalie Doney, and Doney-Lawson Racing will resume their 2025 campaign with a visit to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, July 19. Xavier Doney will be on the only DLR driver entered for competition.
