Double-D caps Knoxville Nationals in Saturday’s B-Main; Selinsgrove and Port Royal on deck

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (August 11, 2025) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing represented the Pennsylvania Posse fanbase well in their Knoxville Nationals campaign, not only capping all action with a B-Main appearance on Saturday, August 9, but opening competition with an 11th-place finish in Wednesday’s preliminary A-Main. The Wednesday effort was enough to keep Dietrich from competing in Friday’s Hard Knox last chance qualifier.
Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Speedway Volkswagen & Subaru, Self Made Racing, York Excavating, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance, No. 48 sprint car, raced on to finish eighth in Saturday’s finale B-Main, commencing action from one spot further back. The eight-time feature winner in 2025 needed to finish fourth or better to qualify for the 50-lap, $195,000-to-win Knoxville Nationals A-Main.
Dietrich is a prior Knoxville Nationals A-Main starter.
“We gave it all we had,” Dietrich said. “Our goal was to get ourselves locked into Saturday. We would have rather been locked into the A, but to lock into the B-Main was just as motivating. It was a fun week but I’m glad to be home. Can’t thank all of my guys enough for their hard work this week. The Nationals is tough and it’s easy to get buried, but we made the most of it. Back to work Friday at Selinsgrove.”

Earned back-to-back top-tens with High Limit Racing; eighth at Grandview on May 20 and seventh at Port Royal Speedway on May 24. Charged from 16th to seventh at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, May 31. Finished second against All Stars at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 6. Won All Star main event at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, June 7. Earned Dean Knittel Memorial title at Atomic Speedway worth $26,554; claimed 2025 Ohio Sprint Speedweek title featuring All Star Circuit of Champions. Finished second in final PA Sprint Speedweek championship – won at BAPS Motor Speedway on June 29 and Williams Grove Speedway on July 4 ($20,000 Mitch Smith Memorial). Capped $200,000-to-win Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway with tenth-place finish. Finished third in Selinsgrove Speedway’s Opperman/Bogar/ Heintzelman Memorial on Sunday, July 27. Won Lou Blaney Memorial at Sharon Speedway on August 2 worth $13,000. Finished eighth in Knoxville Nationals B-Main.
