STAYING POSITIVE: Justin Whittall enjoys Knoxville experience despite abrupt ending

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (August 11, 2025) – Despite a sudden ending to their Knoxville Nationals campaign, retiring Friday following a violent Hard Knox A-Main incident that sent the New Jersey wheelman to a Des Moines hospital for further evaluation, Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports made the most of their visit to the Sprint Car Capital of the World, already eager to get back and try again.

Although sore, Whittall sustained no serious injuries.

“I’m here for the laps,” Whittall, ace of his own RBH Group, Turret Engineering, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, Milky Way Restaurant, No. 67 sprint car, said during his visit to Knoxville. “This place is…different. So different than anything I’ve ever been on. Despite what happened, the experience has been great. Obviously we wanted the opportunity to race again on Saturday, but with so much at stake back in Pennsylvania, we decided it was best to pack up and get the team back home. We’ll get back to Knoxville at some point.”

Despite his abrupt ending on Friday, there were plenty of shining moments leading up to Whittall’s accident. The recent Port Royal Speedway winner and current track championship leader won his respective Hard Knox B-Main, launching his entire Knoxville Nationals campaign with a B-Main start in Wednesday’s preliminary.

Prior to his road trip to Knoxville Raceway, Whittall competed within his “home” circuit in Central Pennsylvania, highlighting all recent attempts with a sixth-place performance at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, August 2; his track championship point lead stands at 125 markers.
