Madsen and Vermeer strong in Arizona; Action continues Tuesday at Vado

MIFFLINTOWN, Pa. (March 23, 2026) – The “Madman” Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports made the most of their three-day weekend at Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, Arizona, concluding the Cactus Classic triple with back-to-back top-tens. A consistent performance, nonetheless, each of Madsen’s High Limit top-tens were sixth-place outcomes, doing so on Thursday and Friday, March 19-20.
Despite slipping back in Saturday’s weekend finale, finishing 12th from seventh on the grid, Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports worked their way forward in the overall Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing championship, now seventh in the team standings with only 78 points separating themselves from Series leader Tanner Thorson.
“Super happy with our team this weekend. Things are coming together and we’re really excited about our progress,” Tye Wolfgang, Crew Chief of the TK Concrete, Maxim Trucking & Materials, Logan Contractors, No. 55 sprinter, explained. “We wanted a little bit more out of our Saturday result, but the consistency was there and the speed is obvious. We’ll put this momentum to good work beginning tomorrow night at Vado.
“The opportunity to race on live TV is really special,” Wolfgang added about Vado. “This gives our partners the extra exposure they deserve. We’re working for a great result.”
ON DECK:
Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports will continue their 2026 season with another High Limit Racing triple, this time visiting Vado Speedway Park in New Mexico on Tuesday, March 24, followed by weekend trips to Route 66 Motor Speedway in Texas and Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28.
The event at Vado will be televised live on FS1.
