South Park, Pennsylvania’s Jared Miley will take part in two seperate super late model events this weekend; beginning with Lernerville Speedway’s ‘Opener’ on Friday, April 20th, and closing out the weekend on Saturday, April 21st with the 18th Annual ‘Topless 50’ at Tyler County Speedway near Middlebourne, West Virginia. This will be the first multi-race weekend of the season for the western Pennsylvania team; allowing the JMR ‘H1’ to pick up the pace as the season begins to unfold.
Friday night’s ‘Opener’ at Lernerville Speedway will be a regular program for the four weekly divisions, while Saturday night’s ‘Topless 50’ will feature a $4,000-to-win, 50 lap main event for the super late models. Each event will likely attract some of the top super late model teams in the region. The ‘Topless 50’ event at Tyler County Speedway is the second oldest topless late model race in the country; equaling many years of tradition and tough competition. Tyler County Speedway will host many top-notch super late model events this season; including the first annual ‘Jackpot 100’ sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series later this spring, and the prestigious ‘Black Diamond 125’ in time for Labor Day weekend. Miley has seen plenty of action at both Lernerville and Tyler County, and plans to use that experience this weekend when on the road.
The former Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway super late model champion finished 2nd in the point’s standings last season at Lernerville Speedway; collecting one win at the Sarver, PA oval on his way to a podium finish in the final track standings. The Octane Graphix ‘H1’ has also seen victory lane at Tyler County Speedway; winning the UFO sanctioned Earl Hill Shootout worth $4,000 last season.
