Hermitage, Pennsylvania’s Adam Kekich will return home to Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania this Saturday, April 28th, for a shot at earning his first career ‘410’ sprint car victory. The third generation driver and limited sprint car graduate looks to spend as much time on the road as possible in 2012, while still enjoying the comfort of home. Mercer Raceway Park is located near Kekich’s Hermitage based race shop, and makes for a quick trip for Saturday night action. The familiar ‘5K’ operation competed weekly at Mercer Raceway Park last season; earning a top 5 finish in the final track championship standings.
Although the ‘5K’ team will visit MRP often in 2012, a track championship is not exactly what the team is searching for. Instead, Kekich will focus his attention on getting to victory lane, and earning his first career ‘410’ sprint car victory.
“We aren’t really sure what we are doing this year” explained Adam Kekich in an interview when discussing this summer’s racing plan, “We are going to run Mercer Raceway Park as often as we can along with other tracks in the area…and we hope to run Ohio Speedweek this year too…we are going to just play it by ear for now and see what happens but the goal is to win.”
Mercer Raceway Park will be hosting a regular ‘Saturday Night Live’ format this weekend with racing beginning at 7:00PM!
