Rimersburg, Pennsylvania native and Fully Injected driver, Scott Priester, looks to trade in his runner-up finish from a week ago for a victory this Saturday night at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The sprint car veteran finished second last Saturday night at Mercer Raceway Park; losing the lead to Fully Injected teammate, Rod George, on the 16th circuit of the 25 lap main event. The runner-up finish would result in Priester’s best finish of the season thus far, while also placing him within striking distance of the point’s lead in the sprint car division at Mercer Raceway Park. Priester will be able to use that positive result to his advantage as the All-Star Circuit of Champions will be making their way into Mercer, Pennsylvania this weekend.
The All-Star Circuit of Champions will be making a Western Pennsylvania stop this Saturday night, May 12th, at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval. The traveling sprint car series will have some top notch regional competition in tow; including Cap Henry, Tim Shaffer, and David Gravel. Priester has been up against the All-Stars on many occasions throughout his long career; and looks to use this weekend’s $5,000-to-win event as a momentum build and confidence build for the rest of the season. Priester, who drives the Dionise Racing #15 on a full-time basis, has a bit of traveling in mind for 2012; which will probably include many more run-ins with the All-Star Circuit of Champions. Hopefully the familiar pink’n purple ’15’ can make some noise this weekend, or cash-in the winner’s check, when ‘America’s Series’ comes to town!
