Hermitage, PA – 7/26/12} Hermitage, Pennsylvania native and third generation sprint car driver, Adam Kekich, looks to score his second career ‘410’ sprint car victory this Saturday night, July 28th, at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The pilot of the familiar Warren Harley Davidson sponsored ‘5K’ earned his first career sprint car victory this past Saturday night, July 21st, at the Mercer oval during the annual Sprint Slugout; beating fellow young hotshoe, Brandon Matus, and regional standout, Jack Sodeman Jr. in the 30 lap main event. Kekich has been close to finding Mercer Raceway Park victory lane in recent weeks; earning multiple top five finishes in consecutive weeks. The hard work and dedication finally paid off, and Kekich was able to secure his first sprint car victory.

“It was an unforgettable night for sure!” said Kekich about his first win, “This was just a huge confidence builder for the entire team and it really helped us prove that we have what it takes to find victory lane…we just needed that little extra push!”

Kekich currently sits sixth in the Mercer Raceway Park ‘410’ sprint car track standings; 111 points behind North Jackson, Ohio native, Jack Sodeman Jr., who sits fifth. Unfortunately, the current handicap rule used at Mercer Raceway Park will force the Warren Harley Davidson/Sunburst Environmental Services/ Tight Seal Glass Block ‘5K’ to start no better than 12th in the ‘410’ sprint car main event this Saturday evening. Although the team will be forced to start from row six in the 25 lap feature, winning is still their #1 goal.

“We have to start 12th this Saturday at Mercer but we are up for the challenge!”said Kekich about the upcoming weekend, “We are in such a positive state right now …we always go out on the track trying to win…whether we start first or twelfth , we are trying to win the race”

This weekend will be ‘Meet Your Heroes’ night at Mercer Raceway Park. All of the weekly divisions will be included in this Saturday’s show; including the ‘410’ sprint cars. “I just want to thank everybody who has supported me and this team…especially my father…he has given me a great opportunity to do something I love, and has done everything he can to get me in the right direction where I can someday maybe do this as a living…I wouldn’t be where I am now without everybody involved!
