Hermitage, PA – July 8, 2012 – Hermitage, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected driver, Adam Kekich, scored a second consecutive top five performance this past weekend at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The third generation sprint car driver out of Hermitage finished 5th in the 25 lap, ‘410’ sprint car main event for a second consecutive Saturday. The familiar family owned ‘5K’ finished 5th back on Saturday evening, June 30th, and backed that up with another top five finish last night, July 7th. The team competes at Mercer Raceway Park on a weekly basis in 2012, and is still in search of their first ‘410’ victory.
“We had another good night” said Adam Kekich about his second top five finish in a row, “We battled for the lead for much of the race before falling back to fifth…feels good though, regardless…we are ready for the Lou Blaney Memorial on Tuesday!”
With two positive weeks in a row for the former limited sprint car competitor, Kekich has now reestablished himself at the Mercer oval. The Fully Injected teammate now finds himself inside the top 10 of the current Mercer Raceway Park ‘410’ sprint car track standings. The 5K sits ninth in the current point standings; roughly 230 markers out of the top spot that is being held by Eric ‘Turkey’ Williams.
Adam Kekich, and the entire Kekich Racing team, will be back in action this Tuesday night, July 10th, at the Sharon Speedway near Hartford, Ohio for a midweek ‘410’ sprint car special. The ‘5K’ will be competing against a healthy roster of incoming local and regional talent; all looking to score the $5,000-to-win Lou Blaney Memorial pay day! NASCAR stars Tony Stewart, Dave Blaney, and Kasey Kahne will be on hand wheeling ‘410’ sprint cars. For more information, check out Sharon Speedway’s online home at www.sharonspeedway.com!
