Alan Krimes Captures ‘Hilly Rife Memorial’ worth $5,000
Back to Lincoln and Williams Grove on May 29th/30th

Denver, PA (May 24th, 2015) – ‘Super’ Alan Krimes earned his first victory of the 2015 season on Saturday evening, May 23rd at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Krimes, the defending Lincoln Speedway ‘410’ sprint car track champion, took advantage of a late race restart and surged ahead to score the $5,000-to-win ‘Hilly Rife Memorial’ in the Pigeon Hills. The Denver, Pennsylvania native now has one victory, four top-five and nine top-ten finishes at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway in 2015, as he continues to chase a second consecutive Lincoln Speedway track championship.
“Feels good to get this” explained Alan Krimes, “It’s always the hardest getting the first one…we were good…things went our way there at the end with the late caution…we were able to take advantage of that and get a win…hopefully we can keep this momentum rolling and a get a few more.”
Alan Krimes started the 30-lap ‘Hilly Rife Memorial’ on the inside of row five, and was already into the top-five before the halfway mark. The driver of the familiar ‘Super 87’ took command of the main event officially during a lap 27 restart after two cars in the top-five were involved in a caution. Krimes was running fourth before the caution, and would restart in the runner-up position; eventually taking command and never looking back.
Alan Krimes and the entire Wayne Corini, Krimes Racing Engines, VRP Shocks, ‘Super 87’ team will return to competition next Friday and Saturday, May 29th & 30th with a pair of routine stops in the heart of ‘Posse Country.’ Krimes will visit the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, May 29th for YCRC Night, all before returning to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, May 30th.
