Denver, PA (July 4th, 2013) Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania will host the 25th Annual, $10,000-to-win ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ this Friday evening, July 5th for the ‘410’ sprint cars; helping to kick-off the final weekend of the 23rd Annual ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek.’ The July 5th program will be the second speedweek event that Williams Grove Speedway has hosted during the 2013 speedweek schedule. Alan Krimes, a Denver, Pennsylvania native and full-time traveler on the 2013 ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ circuit, is a former ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ winner at the Williams Grove Speedway, and will attempt to win his second in three years this Friday night, July 5th. The ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ is the largest paying event on the 2013 ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ schedule.

Alan Krimes, who pilots the Conestoga Valley Garage, Krimes Racing Engines, no. 87 ‘410’ sprint car regularly in Central Pennsylvania, earned the $10,000 ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ victory at the Williams Grove Speedway back in 2011. The five-digit pay day was the largest of Alan Krimes’ racing career thus far, and ironically enough, it was also his first-career Williams Grove Speedway win. The 2013 edition of the ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ will be highlighted with a main event awarding $30,000 in purse monies. But first, ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ action will continue tonight, July 4th at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania.

Alan Krimes has one (1) victory on the 2013 ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ circuit thus far; taking place on Saturday evening, July 29th at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The pilot of the Conestoga Valley Garage no. 87 has earned four (4) total ‘410’ sprint car victories during his 2013 campaign thus far; including a $5,000 UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ win at the Lincoln Speedway.
