All Stars Return To Williams Grove Speedway Friday

Williams Grove Speedway
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mechanicsburg – The second appearance of the season by the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints at Williams Grove Speedway is on tap this Friday night, June 14, at 7:30 pm.

Joining the All Stars on the Friday card will be the ARDC Midgets.

The Williams Grove Saturday Series is also in action the following evening, June 15.

This Friday’s All Stars program is also a 2013 Diamond Series event.

The feature will be 30-laps in distance, paying $5,000 to the winner.

Donnie Kreitz is the current Diamond Series point leader at Williams Grove.

Kreitz was the winner of the first All Stars show of the season at the track back in late April.

In 27 appearances by the circuit at the track since it began hosting the series in 1970, no All Star traveler has ever taken a victory at the historic oval and the series is looking to change that.

Invaders Dale Blaney and Tim Shaffer likely stand the best chances of picking up a win for the tour although Danny Holtgraver too should be considered a possibility.

To date at Williams Grove Speedway, there has not been a repeat sprint car winner in weekly action.

Seven races have produced seven different winners in Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint competition as the battle is waged for the 2013 track title.

Winners so far this season have been Fred Rahmer, Danny Dietrich, Cory Haas, Kreitz, Rick Lafferty, Donny Schatz and most recently Alan Krimes.

Fred Rahmer is the current overall 410 sprint point leader.

The 358 sprints will join the 410 sprints on Friday, June 21 for an open wheel double at 7:30 pm.
