All Stars Sprints Hit Williams Grove June 13
6/8/14
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mechanicsburg – The UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints are set for a stop at Williams Grove Speedway this Friday night, June 13, at 7:30 pm.
Joining the All Stars on Friday night will be the PASS 305 sprint cars for the circuit’s second show of the year at Williams Grove.
Eric Parker won the first Grove show of the season for the PASS 305s on May 23.
This Friday’s All Stars show will also be part of the 2014 Hoosier Diamond Series at the oval.
The feature will be 30-laps in distance, paying $5,000 to the winner.
Greg Hodnett is the current Diamond Series point leader while Don Kreitz Jr. sits atop the overall season point standings.
Kreitz upended the All Stars once at Williams Grove last season and has been running strong of late, just picking up his first win of the year in style on June 6.
The All Stars show this week will end up being the only show of the season for the travelers at the track after their first slated appearance of the year fell to rain back in April.
In 28 appearances by the circuit at Williams Grove since it began hosting the series in 1970, no All Star traveler has ever taken a victory at the historic oval in a sanctioned All Stars event.
Invaders expected to enter action this time around include Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer, Danny Holtgraver, Jac Haudenschild and Chad Kemenah among others.
Holtgraver in fact will enter the event fresh off an All Stars win in Quincy, Michigan.
The 358 sprints will join the 410 sprints on Friday, June 20 for an open wheel double at 7:30 pm featuring a championship event for the 358s.
Aside from Friday programs at the oval, the Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Series, offering racing action with the Super Sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks at 6:30 pm is currently in full swing.
Saturday Series adult admission is JUST $5. And please remember, kids ages 12 and under are always admitted free at Williams Grove Speedway!
