SANDUSKY, Ohio (August 26, 2024) – Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing made the most of their recent weekend in northwest Ohio, not only accumulating a top-five along the way, but turning the corner as a team, just in time for one of Attica Raceway Park’s most sought after weekends of the year.
Andrews, ace of his own Ohio Truck Sales, OTS Truck Centers, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Kenworth of Cleveland, Toledo Spring, NAPA Fremont Auto Parts, No. 15C sprint car, earned the aforementioned top-five at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing,” Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday, August 23. The Sandusky native finished fifth in his top-five appearance, improving four positions after starting from the inside of row five. The former two-time Attica Raceway Park track champion launched preliminary competition with a heat race victory.
The eventual top-five was Andrews’ first of the 2024 season, simultaneously improving his top-ten tally to six.
“I think we are starting to turn the corner…it’s been a long time coming, but we’re excited about it,” Andrews explained. “We needed a good night like that, especially with a big two days ahead over Labor Day Weekend. There’s a lot of money on the line both nights so to get our first win of the season during that weekend wouldn’t be so bad.”
Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing continued their recent weekend with a Saturday stop at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio, concluding the FAST Series program 11th after starting 16th. Their evening commenced with the fifth-fastest qualifying time, racing on to finish sixth in their respective heat race.
