SANDUSKY, Ohio (September 3, 2024) – Despite Mother Nature stepping in and ruining all plans for night two of the annual Attica Ambush at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, night one went on as scheduled, and for Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing, the evening was respectable, concluding the $6,000-to-win FAST Series program with a 12th-place score, just short of attaining his seventh top-ten of the season.
A sound preliminary effort, Andrews, ace of his own Ohio Truck Sales, OTS Truck Centers, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Kenworth of Cleveland, Toledo Spring, NAPA Fremont Auto Parts, No. 15C sprint car, launched the Attica Ambush/FAST Series program with the second-fastest qualifying time, racing on to finish second in his respective heat race. The Sandusky, Ohio, native is certainly no stranger to sound efforts at the Attica short track, earning a top-five – finishing fifth officially – just one weekend prior.
“We were really hoping to get a second try on Saturday, but the weather didn’t give us much hope,” Andrews was quick to note. “We’ll get another try on Friday. The season is closing down in a hurry, that’s for sure.”
