SANDUSKY, Ohio (July 8, 2024) – Although shy of the top-ten in each of their weekend results, Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing put together a sound effort in their holiday visits to Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway, concluding the Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) pair with 12th and 14th-place finishes, respectively. Unfortunately, Andrews’ Attica result ended a recent streak of top-tens that stood at two entering the weekend.
Andrews, ace of his own Ohio Truck Sales, OTS Truck Centers, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Kenworth of Cleveland, Toledo Spring, No. 15C sprint car, can attribute his sound weekend to his preliminary efforts, setting the fifth-fastest qualifying time at Attica before racing on to win his respective heat race. At Fremont, Andrews was forced to come through the evening’s B-Main, winning said consolation after a heat race spin forced him to do so.
“Made some mistakes, but in all, a decent weekend for us,” Andrews expressed. “We’ve been able to put together some decent performances, but we still want to do better. Can’t thank my team and all our partners for the opportunity to do this. There’s a lot of moving parts, but I’m fortunate to be surrounded by a lot of great people.”
ON DECK:
Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with an AFCS start at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Saturday, July 13. Andrews will also join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in Attica Raceway Park’s annual Brad Doty Classic on Tuesday, July 16.
