SANDUSKY, Ohio (June 19, 2024) – After a short FAST on Dirt Ohio Sprint Speedweek burst followed by an off weekend, Sandusky, Ohio’s Chris Andrews is ready to get back to action, set to take part in a routine AFCS weekend at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway on Friday and Saturday, June 21-22.
Andrews, a former two-time Attica Raceway Park track champion, will roll into the weekend on the coattails of a recent top-ten, doing so at Attica just prior to Ohio Sprint Speedweek. The ace of the Chris Andrews Racing (CAR), Ohio Truck Sales, OTS Truck Centers, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Kenworth of Cleveland, No. 15C sprint car finished eighth in his top-ten appearance, kicking-off the evening program with a four-spot jump from seventh to third during heat race competition.
Unfortunately, CAR’s momentum was unable to transfer into Ohio Sprint Speedweek starts at Attica and Fremont; they did not qualify for each of the respective main events.
“We had planned to join Ohio Sprint Speedweek at Millstream, but we decided to take the weekend off and get set for the second half of the year. Never hurts to reevaluate,” Andrews noted. “Hats off to everyone who helps this team. The last year and a half has been a challenge, and it’s challenged our patience, as well, but it’s definitely what we live for. Excited to give things another go Friday and Saturday night.”
