VINCENTOWN, N.J. (April 3, 2023) – Although their three-race weekend was ultimately shortened to one, affected by Mother Nature’s relentlessness in not allowing racing at Williams Grove Speedway, also negatively affecting competition in Sunday’s Pennsylvania Posse invasion of Bridgeport Motorsports Park, Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports took advantage of the weekend and capped their one day behind the wheel with a top-ten at Port Royal Speedway. The New Jersey-based open wheel operation finished ninth at the “Speed Palace,” bumping the team’s top-ten total to three on the season – their second in Port Royal, Pennsylvania.
Whittall, who started 11th on Port Royal’s grid before improving to a top-ten result, is certainly no stranger to the high speeds of Juniata County, bettering all who attended on October 14 for a $6,000 payday.
“I think I speak for everyone when I say we are ready for the weather to calm down,” Whittall, driver of the JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, Prime Composite Innovations, K Seal, No. 67 sprint car, said. “We were excited for the opportunity to race close to home at Bridgeport, but Mother Nature had other plans. We’ll get back there soon enough and hopefully take full advantage of the chance.”
ON DECK:
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2023 campaign with another weekend in Pennsylvania Posse Country. The team will visit Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, April 7, and Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, April 8.
