Armstrong looks forward to his return to Mansfield Motor Speedway; Eldora visit to end All Star season
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
NEW CASTLE, IN (October 9, 2017) – New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong will conclude his 2017 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions campaign this Friday and Saturday, October 13-14, with visits to Mansfield Motor Speedway and Eldora Speedway. A total of three main events will be contested between the two facilities including a doubleheader at Mansfield on October 13. A full program will be conducted, as well as a make-up feature that was originally scheduled for late May. Armstrong qualified for the make-up feature and will start 22nd.
The World’s Greatest Dirt Track – Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, will host the final Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions program of the 2017 season. Headlining the big half-mile on Saturday, the Arctic Cat All Stars will be joined by non-wing sprint cars and the NRA Sprint Invaders; the “Last Call For Methanol.”
Armstrong has displayed success at each of his upcoming destinations. Most recently, the pilot of the Baker Crop Insurance/Armstrong Farms/No. 7C charged from 22nd to finish ninth at Eldora Speedway during Four Crown Nationals weekend in late September. In even more impressive fashion, Armstrong earned $15,000 during his most recent Mansfield Motor Speedway appearance by claiming the inaugural Great Lakes Dirt Nationals in early August.
“It kinda sucks this is our last All Star weekend, but at the same time, I think we are all ready for a break,” Armstrong stated. “We’ve been having a great season and I’m proud of my entire team. I think we are all a little extra confident heading into the weekend because we’ve been fast at both of these tracks.”
Armstrong will enter the weekend third in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions driver standings, earning 18 top-ten finishes in 43 main event starts. Unfortunately, Armstrong’s most recent start with “America’s Series” ended on the hook.
