Atomic and Brownstown Next for Gregg Satterlee
“The Truth” Looks for First Win of 2015
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
Indiana, PA (March 9th, 2015) – Despite the ‘frustrating’ start to his 2015 season, Indiana, Pennsylvania’s Gregg Satterlee is already looking ahead towards his next super late model venture. Satterlee, who launched his 2015 campaign during the annual Georgia/Florida ‘speedweeks’ with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, will return to national series action next Friday and Saturday, March 20th & 21st in the states of Ohio and Indiana. ‘The Truth’ will join the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for two complete shows on March 20th & 21st; visiting the Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio on March 20th and the Brownstown Speedway near Brownstown, Indiana on March 21st. The former Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek Series champion will continue to hunt for his first win of 2015.
“Our trip south was a little frustrating to be honest so we are anxious to get back to work” said Satterlee, “We had trouble qualifying during our entire trip south and that really put us behind the eight ball…we had a few top-ten finishes and a top-five…definitely learned some things that we can benefit from…we’ll put that trip behind us and move forward…we like Atomic and Brownstown so hopefully we can generate some new momentum.”
The ‘Buckeye Spring 50’ at Atomic Speedway and the ‘Indiana Icebreaker’ at Brownstown Speedway will both award $10,000 to the main event winner. Although Satterlee is a multi-time World of Outlaws Late Model Series main event winner, the western Pennsylvania native has yet to capture a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature victory. ‘The Truth’ will have two opportunities to do so on March 20th & 21st.
After spending a weekend on the road with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Gregg Satterlee and the Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, Keyser Manufacturing, Valvoline, ‘22’ team will stay in the midwest and visit the Farmer City Raceway near Farmer City, Illinois for the Douglas Dodge Ram Trucks ‘Illini 100’ on Friday and Saturday, March 27th & 28th . The World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned event will feature two complete programs; offering $6,000 to the main event winner on Friday, and $15,000 on Saturday. Satterlee has three-career World of Outlaws Late Model Series victories to his credit.
“We have a busy next few weeks” explained Satterlee, “We have one more off-week in between then we’ll head to Atomic and Brownstown, and then eventually Farmer City…there is a lot on the line each night we hit the track this month…earning some solid finishes, and hopefully a win, will help set the tone for the next few stages of our season…I can’t thank my Dad, Robby and this entire team enough for what they do…we are going to keep working as hard as we can and hopefully it pays off.”
