Back-to-Back Top-Ten Finishes for “Double-D” at Lincoln Speedway
Upcoming Weekend Plans Still TBD

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (March 7, 2016) – For a second consecutive weekend, Danny Dietrich would charge forward from a deep starting position to earn a top-ten finish at Lincoln Speedway. The former champion in the Pigeon Hills rallied from 14th on the main event grid to finish ninth on Sunday afternoon, March 6, equalling his best performance of the season thus far. The pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Hickory Run Orchards, Weikert’s Livestock, Carlisle Auto Salvage, CATS Used Truck Parts, No. 48 kicked-off the Lincoln program with a fifth place finish during heat race competition; a transfer position, but not eligible for the top-12 feature redraw. There were 26 cars entered.
“We are starting to get this car where it needs to be” Danny Dietrich explained, “The track was a little tricky yesterday. Made it a little tough to pass. We need to work on putting ourselves in a better starting position, especially on a surface like yesterday. Regardless, we’re happy with the adjustments that we made and we’ll take our top-ten and move forward.”
Upcoming plans for the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native still stand uncertain. A decision regarding entering action at Lincoln Speedway or Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, March 12, will be determined later in the week.
