BROWNSBURG, Ind. (May 19, 2025) – Two days north of the border resulted in back-to-back top-tens for Fargo, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, but unfortunately, the ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion was forced to do things the hard way – one of which situation a Last Chance Showdown appearance.
Schatz, ace of Tony Stewart’s Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Curb Records, Martin One Source, No. 15 sprint car, finished sixth and tenth in his two-day appearance at the famed Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada, on Wednesday and Thursday, May 14-15, advancing 19 feature positions total, 13 on day two (from 23rd to tenth) which granted Schatz the evening’s Hard Charger Award.
Unfortunately, as so many times already in 2025, Mother Nature stepped in and ruined all hope for action at Cornwall Motor Speedway in Ontario, Canada, on Sunday, May 18; it will not be rescheduled.
With all results considered, Schatz’ perseverance allowed the ten-time champ to remain sixth in the World of Outlaws championship chase, now with 15 top-ten appearances in 23 Series A-Main starts. Schatz will continue his quest toward his first victory of the season Friday, May 23, at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio – the first of three Ohio appearances for the Greatest Show On Dirt over Memorial Day weekend.
ON DECK:
Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2025 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a tripleheader through the Buckeye State; Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 23, Sharon Speedway on Saturday, May 24, and Atomic Speedway on Monday, May 26.
