BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 21, 2025) – It was a roller coaster week in the Buckeye State for Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, and despite a rocky end to an historically prosperous outing, scored 16th in Eldora Speedway’s $200,000-to-win Kings Royal on Saturday, July 19, the ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion has already switched gears, aiming big in an upcoming Pennsylvania Posse invasion that blasts off Wednesday, July 23, at BAPS Motor Speedway.

Despite a Kings Royal that ended short of expectation, the team’s momentum is high and will roll into Pennsylvania with a recent podium score to their credit, doing so in Attica Raceway Park’s annual Brad Doty Classic on Tuesday, July 15. The Fargo, North Dakota, native charged from 16th to third, simultaneously clinching the evening’s Hard Charger Award.

“These Carquest/Advance guys had the car really good here,” Schatz was quick to note following his Attica charge. “Obviously the longer the race went the better we got. I think the cushion was pretty treacherous with several people leading it, and it bit them. If things would’ve fallen our way a little bit, I don’t know if the yellow would’ve come out if we’d have been better or not. That’s part of this race. Forty laps here is pretty grueling. The guys did a great job.”

Once his visit to York Haven, Pennsylvania, is complete, Schatz, ace of Tony Stewart’s Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Curb Records, Martin One Source, No. 15 sprint car, will continue his Posse invasion with back-to-back nights at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, July 25-26. The two-day Summer Nationals program will award big money and just as much prestige, handing out $12,000 to the winner on Friday followed by a $20,000 check on Saturday. Schatz’ most recent Summer Nationals title occurred in 2019.

Although not-so synonymous with Pennsylvania Posse Country, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will cap their coming weekend with a Sunday visit to Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, New York, on Sunday, July 27. Like The Grove, Schatz is a former winner at Weedsport, actually sweeping the entire evening program in 2022.
